A bit of etch squirted on and it looks loads better, even the pitted areas dont look too bad so with some coats of other stuff it should be fine, the monkey is off my back

Did cheat a bit in the corner where it had gone through, access is minimal and I didnt really want to start burning off all the good seam sealer so it got a little 2mm plate with a welded stud, a good blob of PU underneath and bolted up, it bolts to the dashboard support bracket inside

There was a carlton doing a track day at cadwell earlier this month . Possibly local-ish , I followed it along the bluestone heath road till I turned off , just before the a16 . It wasn't hanging about !

Don't know that one but there's an awful lot of stuff tucked away around here , I'm only 20mins from Cadwell so try and go frequently but only made it once this year

Noone I know up there ever seems to hang around on that road though!

I'm amazed we don't get more deaths particularly with the bikers especially this time of year!

Very little done but managed to get some top coat on, didnt want gloss/satin or matt so the supplier mixed up some 80% gloss so it looks like the cheap factory finish
Applied using the new face mask which is great, no smells or anything its just a shame we didnt have this PPE stuff 40 years ago

Managed a bit more but it's slow going
Either end of the scuttle where it exits into the inner wing area it has a strengthener panel which I couldn't fit until I'd done the dirty work on the scuttle

I have the original which came off OK and is in really nice nick apart from a bit of corrosion on the flanges and spot weld holes or I have a new panel

The factory primer on the original panel is far superior to the replacement so I've gone for the original which cleaned up nicely

A quick squirt of weld through on the edges and welding took place

I struggled getting decent plug welds and it wasn't until I'd finished I realised it wasn't weld through primer I'd used it was etch primer
Never mind Sunday's a good day for grinding and with a splash of paint and no one will know!
