Carbon-arc torch on inverter welder

I've just found my old carbo-arc torch that I used to use for bronze welding/brazing on my old transformer stick welder. I've now got an R-Tech Tig/MMA inverter set - is it safe to use the carbon-arc torch on the new kit ?

You may find that the output being DC that one of the carbon rods burns a lot quicker than the outher (well I did!).

DOnt quote me on this. 6volt lantern batteries have two carbon rods in them.

Kind you find in lights on skips and certain traffic cones

Abit off topic...

But I have used a TIG torch loads of times to spot heat nuts and bolts up to extract them.

Works a treat....
