Messages 1,880 Location Guisborough,N Yorks Mar 26, 2010 #24 MAF (mass air flow meter) sits between the air filter housing and engine,looks like a plastic or matal tube with pipes attatched normally. If it does it again,have a look at the wiring connector on the MAF as it may be loose or dirty/corroded. also check all pipes/hoses in the area.

If like doesn't stay on, then there won't be any fault codes recorded/stored.. If the MAF(Mass air flow)sensor is starting to fail, it won't put the eml on If the van plays about again, unplug the maf plug, and drive it, if near normal performance comes back, then its faulty..
