My first post and its a silly one so be kind please!
I have a hinge bolted to a stainless steel table leg. see attached.
Problem is these will be pretty much permanently covered and so i want to be able to remove the door so i am thinking of welding the nuts in place.
I dont mind if the plastic locking thread gets fried but will the nut fuse to the bolt?
I will remove the wood before trying.
I just want to tack it in place so if i ever (unlikely) need to remove the door i have half a chance on putting it back on.
If its worth a go, the Leg is stainless grade unknown, nut is steel. So stainless wire or just steel wire?
Welder is a clarke 135Turbo with CO2 and argon mix gas.
