Such a stupid idea that it works for 99% of casesoxy-fuel on the studs is exactly what I don't want. tried this and the stud glowed red-hot and fell over. the block doesn't warm at all. spoke to a guy who got his studs out bt warming the alloy and he said heating the stud was a stupid idea
But anyway I see what you mean, it won't be as effective with those huge long studs, like you say you'll struggle to get the heat input in without melting it.
