Yes ,,, they are very prone to bringing out the worst side of people
many have bad feelings treat folk with distaste
and miss trust
poke fun at them and look down their noses
want folk moved on etc etc
but some folk enjoy owning caravans

It seems that even the Irish are sick of them and have suitably enforced legislation, yet *we* still allow them to do what they wish and even break the law with impunity.
trouble is thats not new ,,, its been like that for years ,,,,
If they are travelers why are most of the rows about where they want to stay .... ???

Yes, that has always intrigued me!
I bought 2 trackers many years ago from a Chinese site. Thought they would come in handy if I bought a bigger van but never used them. I did try one out and it worked pretty well. It also had a built in microphone and panic button. If the vehicle was stolen it would send out a message every 90 seconds, with a link so you could track it on your phone [ I used a tablet], it linked to Google maps . You sent text messages to the tracker , turn it on/off, put it stand by mode, turn on the microphone etc. If someone in your family was driving ...wife etc and they were being followed, just hold the hidden panic button for 3 seconds and it notified you where they were. It was good for a lockup, garage. etc some distance away too. Fit a switch to the doors and if the place was broken into the tracker would notify you. It would connect to a car battery and a solar panel/controller on the roof. Has quite afew uses ,not just for a car or van.

The main issue with gps trackers now is gps jammers, the kill or clone the gps signal, less than £20.

These Samsung smartags are amazing - wideband bluetooth tech - but they depend on being in built up area with loads of other peoples phones around them. They work - they are dirt cheap - the batterys are car remote plip type and last 6 to 12 months. No monthly charge either.
I have retrived a couple of my courtesy cars using these.

Trackers can of course be circumvented....still not a reason not to have one.
But in car trackers do seem to struggle with signal, especially if parked in a garage etc. Rewire security offer a few basic ones you can track yourself
But I have to say, they Automatrix do sound very good from their videos, and the fact it has an RF backup too is helpful for location. As to whether they really do respond and track all stolen vehicles or plant with their trackers on them, anywhere in the UK ? Sounds wonderful in theory...but have they enough people to respond to them all ?
