No for industrial applications IE pumps generators etc they are still common so that they can gear drive the cam shaft then there is no maintenance to worry about, some of the engines I do for the pump guy only get stopped to change the oil and are running 24/7/365 so if worked out that is the equivalent of a car if running at 50mph av. of doing 10,000mls ish a weekP.s. I thought pushrod engines had gone out decades ago ?
