The fact that, at going on for 20(30?)yrs since they were made, they're still selling for 80-140 quid, should tell you something about how good they are.

The toolstation / screwfix prices are irrelevant currently, as there are ALREADY supply line issues - as demonstrated by two of the largest retailers for this device not being able to get stock.
Wouldn't buy it before or after Xmas.

Probably not going to be much different buying from proper U.K. based companies. I am not so sure about internet purchases from abroad as of next year, a lot of this gear has been coming in under the VAT or duty radar for many years, that will all change.

Koki trading have owned Hitachi for 70 odd years so Hitachi koki became hikoki.
But, that's contrary to human nature, we can't help ourselves. Personally, if it's not needed straight away, I'd hold off.
