That's exactly the kind if thing!! So chrome-moly as opposed to spring steel..interesting. I wonder how that would fair fatigue-wise, as the truck is going to see considerabaly more lumps, bumps and corners than a dragster, I'm guessing it was a pretty stiff setup?

The one in the pic is not on the road/track yet but i did another one almost identical on a drag race only car with has run 2-3 full seasons running over 1200 hp and 7sec quarters @ around 185mph, itstill holds it temper and so far... nothing has broken,
not sure what application you have in mind but if weight is not an issue a solid as opposed to tube anti-roll bar might be better for longevity?

this is the beast..
I 3-linked the front last yr and ran it on air shocks..im re-doing it at present swapping to coilovers and altering the link geometry to get it a little lower on the front. Anyways I could just about squeeze a torsion type ARB in, and obviously have disconnect-able for serious flexing..just to keep it tidy on the road

bit of an update...
mounting the coilovers,
Paul already had a pair of ali bodied Strange single adjustable units with rose jointed ends so chose to go with them,
mounting of the bottom simply went on the folded adjustable brackets,
not quite so simple on the top, had to fully custom make the top mounts from a piece of 1/4" wall cds and separate pieces of 1/8" plate also making sure the through bolt does not go wider than the chassis and fouling on the wheel tub.
carried on with the centre of the chassis,
more 100 x 50 box section tapering out at 45degrees to clear the dummy block and th400 trans now in place,
the piece of string that runs through the crank/trans centre line is to get a straight driveline line to the diff yolk,
loads more plasma cutting/grinding to make all the fish mouthed box section then weld-in the 45degree cut 100mm tubes to run the exhaust through, once again with strengthing plates above/below,
the passenger side getting 3 tubes welded in to run fuel lines etc.

Thanks Sean, yeah it's part time although this type of work was my day job for around 5years, but many moons ago.So this is only part time work for you then Gary...? if so then excellent work
Got another similar sized job booked in straight after this one, not including all of the other small stuff people bring round!

On these early Vettes when viewed from the side the chassis is about 1" lower than the cills so it's a matter of having to run the exhaust through the centre of the chassis to keep it out of view and more importantly it not getting ripped off.
