It just show exactly what a bunch of amature's run things . For some reason I expect anyone who makes the law makes sure there are no loopholes not write it on the back of a fag packet.

I had a 2006 Vivaro 1.9 diesel that i ad to pay to be in all the CAZ.

Got rid and got a 2003 Shogun which pumps out TWICE as much crap and i dont need to pay in all but two zones.

UK is one big &&&& hole scrounging country now. well has been for a while.

Grants, that's the issue. You want a grant, you have to have some cowboys tramping about in your loft, covering your wiring (which technically halves it's capacity), treading on anything up there as well. So no to the grants, as they are in Wales of course...

I got caught by the Bath CAZ. I went in my little van because I was picking up a gearbox. Apparently cars are exempt.

At the time, I was not aware there was a CAZ there. There are signs, but they are small and green in colours, so blend with hedges and trees, and I was looking for road signs, and preoccupied about where I was going, and there is too much signage.

Laugh is, that had I went in my ancient Unimog @8mpg and smokes really badly, it is exempt.

Agree. We had some cowboys come round talking about increasing loft insulation for free. I humoured them. But the POs of my house have sunk lights in the ceiling everywhere and in the days of filament bulbs (many are still fitted) these get hot. Said cowboys had no clue when I asked what they would do about these... I told them not to come back again.

got stung by the Bristol CAZ early this year........or so they thought Drove the missus CAZ compliant car though there and was landed with the usual fine with threats of escalation. I checked a month beforehand that the car was compliant but changed it back to the original registration from the missus private plate before going there. Trying to explain to a civil servant that the car emissions are not dependant on the number plate was a little trying to say the least. Had to write my appeal nevertheless, but added that they must be thick a shizzle in the wording
Bristol council obtain the reg details through a third party that the DVLA are farming out, and the sending out of fines is dependant on whether or not the third party have been informed by the DVLA that the plate has been changed. Yet another layer of red tape and expensive civil service pension payments for the taxpayer to fund

Or do what I did, buy an old insulation blower, repair it using an electric leaf blower/shredder, add
my own attachments, and do it right.
Also, the Home improvement chain stores here (Lowes & Home Depot) will loan the machine
'for no cost when you purchase the cellulose or fiberglass from them.

Of course you are right, but the rules are stupid with no apparent logic.

Had I known, I could have taken the car, which would have been exempt, and put gearbox in the back. I only took the van because it is more economical.
