Most of these students will have been lifted by the spindle at some point in their lives... don't ask me know I know
If there's anywhere you can get a trolley jack under to lift it, you should then be able to put some purling woods underneath longways, screw the base into them, and use scaffolding poles to roll it and winch up a trailer. The students aren't heavy, they're just awkward and top-heavy.
EDIT: or get it sat on a large pallet, strap it nicely, and get someone to forklift it onto a flatbed!
