I run tungsten disulphide in mine . but they work hard , well the flap disc ones do ,,, the cutting ones have an easy life by comparison. And i thought i had a lot of grinders.. (11, for the same reason.)
I put moly in mine. Moly or lithium is probably best.
I suspect it wasn't silver before the gears wore out!I got plenty of different grease this was silver with the worn out gears
I bet it use to be BrownI suspect it wasn't silver before the gears wore out!
Maybe the red sticky grease I have LucasWhenever I have opened up a grinder all the grease has been flung off to the sides of the case and very little seems to be retained on the gears themselves.
I would think any old grease re-distrubited every few months would be better than using the proper stuff once and never touching it again.
Or maybe even something like the really clingy stuff that's used on fishing reels might work better?
t di sulp beats its self onto the gears and stays there as a coating , but the ones that work hard are warm enough to soften the base carrier and the grease seems to get a spread about when you put them down .. but I lube mine every time I change brushes , its just a routine , as the case is split , or wee doors open I give them a blow out and lube the boxes again. Its not that I actually like grinders per say ,,, but I dont like tools that dont so their job every time I pick them up to use. Doing some of the jobs I do is bad enough , without having to start making the tools work to do the job with.Whenever I have opened up a grinder all the grease has been flung off to the sides of the case and very little seems to be retained on the gears themselves.

Seriously! I got a couple of bits for my Bosch angry grinder a few months ago. Genuine paprts, good service, and not crazy expensive. There was another place online called powertoolspares (I think) but some of the bits they didn't have. I suspect they just get them from Bosch anyway, maybe at a bit of a discount then sell them on.

Just treated my favourite old PWS 6-115 to a new lead and some brushes:

(I know the lead's yellow!)
Yellow? Illegal!
On site, probably but at home there's a chance I might see it and not cut or trip over it!
Ooh, I don't know. A nice dark blue would go well on a Bosch!I'm with you on that. I'd choose yellow over blue just because i like it.
