is there a proper name for hot water boiler just for washing up etc.
we use to call them ascot boilers.
in our Church ours has packed up so we need a new. tried google but keep coming up combi boiler .

Could you clarify if you seek an electric or gas one?

On the off-chance, you are looking for a gas one, 'gas fired water heater' will find something.

AIUI, some standard gas combi boilers can be used for hot water only, by putting a short loop on the heating part and configuring it correctly (i.e. at a technician/installer level, not a user level).

most of the time ive come across

though there has been some mains 7 water heaters but there not that reliable never have been

the issue with these nowadays is there not economical but there a simple fix water heater with very little to go wrong with them

price for price they are better than the sink install electric heaters that are electric

i have known some places swap back to the older water cylinder and use that instead

At the lorry yard they had a 7kw shower with a pipe over the sink just used for washing water.

got a quote from Dinsdale plumbing £1749 inc vat.
the water heater is vokera aquanova .
could well be the LE..

• ErP Class A energy efficiency
• High performance mains pressure to all hot water outlets
• High flow rate of 13.2 litres per minute
• just found the price £900 normal price is £1450

price seem a bit high but then I don't know the rate are these days. what do you think?

is that replace like for like ?

or renew the old cable because its under powered install new unit test and cert ?

the old is obsolete you can't get spares for them if its the LE above then its not to bad.
more than likely a much better water heater.

did they give you the spec for the heater there putting in ?

you could google the model and see how much that cost ? add cable consumables etc and decide if its right

when they give a quite for our boiler replacment years ago

cost was 2200 boiler was 600 flue 200 plus bits they made 1000 but then add the cost of travel time getting the bits use of expensive tools certs and meters etc not that bad im sure its way more now as that was 15 years ago ps this was a house boiler not water heater

last 2 boilers my mate fitted for daughters house was an ideal combi 1600 to supply and change. the other was a combi with altered pipework that was 1800 and mine was conventional ideal boiler with all the pipework altered and a radiator fitted £2100

Its a Vokera Aquanova.

Because its a commercial meter we have to get a commercial gas company in to commission it for you, these charge a bit, but its still a lot cheaper doing it this way than to get a commercial gas company to do the whole job

well the paster has decided to go with someone else.
the boiler they're using is ferroli sky water heater don't know anything of this heater or how it work.
last week he said that they're fitting a boiler but cutting half off as the church don't need it for central heating only hot water.
I thought it it was pointless because you waste about 2 gallons of water before you feel any kind of heat.
the ascot type heaters you more or less get instant hot water.?
is this ferroli sky water heater any good?

It stores about 15 ltrs, has a 3kw heater and cost me around £120 when I fitted it 3 or 4 years ago. Any use? I think Toolstation and Screwfix stock them.
