when infact the property is red brick built with cement render the windows are stone lintels
to top this off the gable wall has never been taken down and rebuilt requested by a bank as weve seen there deeds to the property
theres no mention of the damp problem along the gable wall
the garage cant contain a car due to the workshop in the back of it
damp and rot
It's a long time since I sold my bungalow but the purchaser tried a similar stunt. Shortly after the sale went through the purchasers "discovered" the gutters & downcomers were concrete & asbestos construction (which were in good condition). Despite having had the house surveyed, they were looking for £500 to change the gutters for plastic.Hi all ,moved house 10 weeks ago , bought and sold as per usual , recieved a call from the estate agent ,the purchasers of our house have been in touch with our solicitors because the boiler has been condemned after failing today,
the purchasers are I think going to try and get money from us , they had a full survey during which the surveyor inspected the boiler and noted it's serial no which gave it's age etc , we had it serviced
12 months ago and it worked just fine on the day of completion as I had a shower and no problems.
If I am right in my thinking there is no responsibility that can be laid at my door as the house was sold with no warranties implied or given, caveat emptor and all that ,so am I correct in my thinking?
Thanks
Chris
they wont have a leg to stand on even with the surveyors report and there solicitor will say its not worth pursuing
