Boc never makes mistakes.

There's no way they would mix up yr Account with someone else's

Good job I wasn't on DD or anything else other than paying by cheque

It was a battle correcting that alone
if they had had my money as well there attitude might have been. We have yr money. We don't need to deal with it.

Continuous Card Authority. Very bad idea, totally different to DD. There is no problem with DD because the terms of the DD guarantee entitle you to immediate repayment of a queried transaction, with no argument.

Best thing to do with BOC is set up a direct debit, then at the end of the month you get a statement in the post, (or by email if you register) they then take the money round the 20th of the next month so you have plenty of time to make sure the funds are available.

I pay by Direct Debit no problems , nothing to worrie about ,.......... only the eye poppin charges for rental and gas

That isn't direct debit, it's CCA. Different altogether. With DD you remain in control and can immediately get a refund for any payment you don't recall. With CCA it is up to the payee to cancel it, in theory you are at their mercy. However, many banks with a little pressure, will void a CCA although they may tell you it's impossible.

they'll tell you a cca is inpossible to void because its hard work. as soon as you mention closeing the account it becomes possible.

Don't forget the 'environment and energy surcharge' whatever that is and the 'fixed charges' - which comes to £17.28 on this particular invoice- again, whatever that is

Then, I don't have DD so I have to pay a 'non DD account fee'

And im always paying late so that's another fifteen quid on top


Sooooooo............a bottle of argoshield and a packet of French chalk usually sets me back about 40 billion quid
