My latest spare time job, putting a mezzanine up in a house that only has one square corner in the whole house.
10 short beams were carefully measured and I asked the timber merchant to cut them to size. They did a great job, a shame I then needed to take 1” off to cope with the wonky walls
First pass with biscuit jointer (nice clean repeatable cuts using depth stop on 10 beams),
2nd pass with circular saw for a deeper cut,
3rd pass with sabre saw (circ saw cut isn’t quite deep enough to reach the center of the beam).

Using different tools would have been quicker but these were available, results = I’m happy
