This has a few feeders hung under it now. Technically not a table, but they can grab a bite to eat there.

Recycled ply, with a copper roof.

Yer..see how a simple thing turns in to a fafn nightmare. I forgot and let the dogs out. Scoffed the lot that was on the floor. There be some crap for me to clean up tomorrow morning for sure

The Mrs wanted a bird table so I set about the task and using my engineering skills came up with this. A lump of 4x2 and a plastic tray...she looked at me in disgust and stormed of out. Came back with a new one. Just can't please some people's

I did one just like that with a beer tray nailed on top. We used to get a collared dove on it every day in Summer it just used to sit there sunning and eating. You could get within a couple of feet of it before it took any notice, pretty sure it was an old bird and was relying on us for food.

I don't think feeding birds is a good idea at the moment.
Several birds found dead in a Cardiff park from bird flu.
Not good for the poor things to mix too much.

After visiting the local garden centre and seeing the price of copper topped bird houses I decided I would make one. Had some copper sheet lying around and an old wooden fruit bowl... enough for a bird house Pic is WIP, I cut four arches out of the bowl and varnished everything, including the copper... still looks ok after being out all winter, considered letting the roof go green.. maybe do that yet. Didnt have any copper filler wire to tig weld the roof seam so stripped some twin & earth, job done.....
