I'd go for more, if you could achieve it. If you need to carry stuff through from the drive it looks a little tight, even at 110°

The garage is coming out at the end of the year. The motor is removable if need be as well.

defo 110 , the more room to manouver/unload etc etc is always better option.

you have done a fantastic job well done@KimB I hesitate to ask the obvious, but what's to stop the thieves from coming in over that lap fence panel of your neighbours?

and unfortunately I’m not made of money 
once the garage is moved back it’ll give me much more room. I’m also putting a parking space on the front. I currently have the ability to fit three cars end to end on the drive, with the garage moved back it’ll be an extra space at least and then one at the front. Doing this work is more to stop me having to move one vehicle to get my land rover out. I don’t use it half as much as I’d like because of that. All the fences are going to be redone very soon. I was in the process of chasing the neighbours land lady but she’s particularly stingy from what I can see. I offered to do the job FOC if she pays all the materials which is about £600 ish, at least it won’t be bodged. With the virus I’m going to have to wait a bit now. That will be getting gravel boards and a 6ft panel in.@KimB I hesitate to ask the obvious

No matter how good you make your gates and fencing, the neds will suss your hiding something, and come for a look anyway. Youll probably want cctv, security lights, shed alarmed...sad I know, but you have a dirt bike nd tools.
Id probably us non drying anti climb paint or what ever along the top edge.

Last little bit. All braces up now. Looks great I also welded three pairs of 5mm packers between the hinges on each frame. They butt together and will hopefully stop it over extending.
Making the four little retaining points for the small infill peice from yesterday.
Making the motor mount for the post. The upright box section is mimicking the main post. I think that’ll be sufficient, I’m going to make it bolt on to the main post as well. Not sure 100% how I’ll do that but I think the motor mount end will look fine once welded up and cutting down the 10mm bar for motor. It’s a bit long currently.

Very good, I never even thought about thatExcellent gate build Kim and I like how you are such a Land Rover fan, that the two angles of choice are 90 and 110!!
Would you recommend your corner clamp (near bottom left of pic)? Curious to know where you got it, looks like it might be stronger than the wood working types sold on Amazon.

Yes it’s good but don’t rely on it. I asked about clamps a little while back. I only have the one, they’re not cheap. I’ll be buying a second at some point. Handy if you don’t have much room like I don’t for framing large things.
