I have one of these -
Specs here -
http://www.lathes.co.uk/smart-and-brown-model-M/page2.html
Its a tiny lathe, as lathes go, but, at 60" long, its still longer than the footprint of a single pallet.
The lathe is at my old neighbours house in Essex, and im in Devon.
I need to move it from one to the other.
If pallets were simple, id put it on one, but i guess id need some special oversized one. And, given my experience with the table saw, i have less confidence than i used to.
Ive owned the lathe for about 10 years, so have no paperwork for value for insurance or anything either.
Almost considering hiring a van and just driving, but its going to be time consuming and expensive to do it that way.
Any suggestions?
