Very very nice, yup same as, but just a little tattier, that bonnet looks excellent I must say, yes move on the old 135 as you say it will fetch the monies, my digger starts first turn, well I short the wiring out as the looms all hanging...even after a 2 year sit,first click of the starter it fires, wonderfull...wouldnt mind putting a 135 in my truck....get rid of all the electronic garbage eh!
ohh the power steering, works fabulous eh.

I'd buy another MF40 in a heartbeat if i could, I'm sure I could find some 135 bodywork and tart it up a bit and sell for a profit! The 165 axle with inboard brakes is a huge difference compared to 135 brakes, which wither and die when exposed to any water from the pressure washer.

I have to be honest, the previous owner fitted the pattern 240 bonnet, it's actually very cheap and nasty compared to OE tinwork, but looks fine for now, plus... it's a scraper tractor

The power steering... simple, and works great, but the cam-design of the steering colum means effectively you have half a rotation of slop in the steering wheel... not great at top speed lol

I think the best tools I have ever bought are - bandsaws and forklifts.

Everything I make has to start off on the band saw - everything I make or repair normally get moved about on a forklift.

While not "glamour tools" I could not work without them.

Our old fella picked a brand new 135 up to drive back to depot when he was on the leccy board, got about 5 miles up the road and the back actor just sheared off the chuff. Don’t think he ever got a proper explanation as to why.
Wrote off a minibus full of coppers with the next one, they came round a blind bend a touch on the wrong side of the road and met the bucket coming the other way he swears by them, when he was rigging the pylons over the fells by coniston they had the 135 and a sno-cat. The 135 wouldn’t climb so it got chained to the back of the snocat and dragged everywhere. Wouldn’t get away with it today

There's a "MF 20 industrial" on Fb for sale atm, just saw it this afternoon.

It has a 4WD front axle, with huge floatation tyres, and oversize rears too... as well as an MF80 power loader, and a modern looking cab, doesn't look like an original QD cab, looks more like a 300 series cab...

It's basically an overbuilt floaty looking 135, perfect for groundcare and peat bogs.

They're asking £6500 which is wayy too much, but I still want it. It's probably rough as anything, and nowhere near as practical or powerful as it should be for it's weight.... but in pics... looks awesome.

Oh, I should add my 135 fork lift, built to special order for the RAF, apparantly to load armanent onto the planes, one of 8 built to order, fabulous tool, huge loader on the front. wouldnt part with it.

Air tapping machine is the mutts nuts . When you tap around 800-1000 holes a week it’s amazingly good.

At home has to be the cordless gear as it’s so much handier for small jobs

Is it the Stiletto? If I was still framing I would definitely buy one. My hammer is an Estwing, bought in the States over 35 years ago, 24 ounce. Fits like a glove but I can't swing it for long now

They work extremely well underwater too. I know, but we used them to good effect moving big stuff about, very versatile pieces of kit.
