Hi all
I am currently after a decent mig welder for a car restoration project (94 Sri cavalier). I am trying to do this project as a budget job to a degree (saving for a wedding) but don't mind stretching where needed in saying this I have spent a few weeks searching all kinds of welders to suit my task at hand, the work involved is mainly sills and rear archs. I currently have a sealy mighty mig gasless 100amp which even at the lowest setting is burning straight through. Ideally I would like a gas/gasless mig as working without gas is preferred but if pushed I could get a gas bottle.
I have looked at the following 2 options which seem acceptable for what I need
Draper 16057 gas/gasless 100amp mig (ranges between 21-100amp)
Silverline 380736 gas gasless (35-135amp)
There is a lot of knowledge throughout this site so any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
