I tried to blend in some earlier. I sanded back the area I was going to spray clear over with 1500 grit. Then the area I wanted the base over with 800 grit. I sprayed he base. Then I took the clear up to the edge of the sanded area and just past it. I’m left with a pale finish where the clear was sanded and a darker finish after. This is the second time I’ve tried blending with this paint. Years ago I tried using Pro blend spray. That left a halo as well. What’s best for metallic?
Spray the base so it overlaps on to unsanded clear then clear over past the base.
Use fade out thinners.
Use a slow thinner so it melts one clear into another.
