best hand cleaner?

I used to have a job servicing industrial pressure washers and as such I got to try out many different hand cleaners at various garages & factories. The best one I ever found was called bardhals, a white paste with ground pumice - unbelievable at removing ground in soot and oil.

I only ever came across it at one place but my mum knew when I visited there as it was the only time my hands were really clean!

The only commonly available one around here is comma manista, which I rate as average. Today I spotted Fast Orange in the local hardware shop. It contains ground pumice so it could be similiar to the bardhals.

Anyone tried it?

I have just revived some solpol that I picked up on eBay cheep ( I bought the man out) and for the first time since Christmas my hands are clean after two goes. It's amasing stuff but if you have to buy it at retail price £7.50 for 250ml i would rather have dirty hands.

We use Swarfega Tufanega. It pretty good. Used to have a big tub of white paste that was like gritty porridge - only needed a dab on wet hands and it was great and lasted ages. The mobile guy we had it off has since retired and I have no idea what it was. Came in a white tub with a green band.

Generally though I never work without gloves so although my hands are still always dirty - unavoidable in a fab shop, I never have grease too ingrained. Tufa negs is more than adequate.
