best hand cleaner?

I'm in the washing up liquid and sugar camp ...and yes gloves... it's taken years for me to get in the habit but now I'm hooked ...jeff..

I agree with you about Manista, really good stuff. Been using the Orange Swarfega stuff at the moment as it's cheap at Costco, £6.99 for 5 litres, double that everywhere else. Seems pretty good & doesn't give me skin problems which the old type Swarfega green stuff did.

Loctite Orange Langy. I like it a lot. Price varies a bit though. Best I have found for a big one is about £27 but it does last a long time.

I use the lemon flavour with bits in it, just looked and it's Manista natural. A tub lasts ages.

I use swarfega orange coz its cheap and ok for normal daytime washing, IE clean ish hands,to stop getting black everywhere, but for CLEAN hands I use Astral NON SOLV about 4x price swarfega, it is white and cleans my hands spotless and the white tends to make my cuticles look cleaner, because that is the hard bit no matter how much you scrub.
I cant be doin with gloves but then again as youve seen I'm a bare back man.

I've always used swarfega. but my hands are usually covered in some oil or grease. I don't like using gloves and If i do the tend to split and one or two fingers gers mucky. The mrs just puts up with the oil. I also forget that i'm wearing "best" jeans or Shirts and usually get oil on them too

Me too, just burnt a hole in an expensive pair of trousers. A b@lloking & night time rations stopped!

GoJo Lemon, its the best stuff I have ever used - shame its such a pain to get hold off.

Barrier cream before work makes them easier to clean after.

The stuff we use at work is GoJo supro max, it's by far the best I've ever used for shifting oil and grease.

At home got a big tub of Deb natural orange smelling stuff with beads in, at work when I used to do more mechanical stuff and was on site I used to carry handy size tubes of Stoko Neopol that I used to half inch off the German guys I worked with. Excellent stuff, though being a keyboard warrior nowadays I don't really use a lot!

Heartily recommend barrier cream for anyone working with oils/greases, as it makes it easier to clean off and helps prevent dermatitis and other (Potentially much worse) nasties.

The problem with putting barrier cream on is that you need to but it on Before you start. I don't meant to do anything, but end up tinkering and getting covered in oil etc.

I use the deb stuff, its ok but needs a couple of goes. I use barrier cream if i intend to do a job, but generally im the same as rikrobson ^.
