It's a facing from a jetty that was being renovated.
greenheart is impressive timber....as a kid I watched them build houses with it. They used it for columns and built the house on top (flood protection). As far as I know those houses are still standing.
Blooming heavy stuff though...I remember as a kid trying to make a boat from an offcuts....it didn't go well!
It was cheaper than using cement at the time
