Yes I think they do the flat notched belts now, but would the pulley off your old gearbox not fit on the new one?

No. Spindle design is different, at both the motor and gearbox ends. See my reply to @gaz1

The old gearbox still has drive, but not sure how long it'd last, the worm gear teeth are worn to a sharp point.



No internal parts available for one this old, that I could find.
It isn't going to get used a lot so I might just put it back together with a new gasket and oil seals.
