How do you disengage the drive so you can push the thing when the battery is dead ? The one we had (not a batricar) would not run unless it was switched on when you re-engaged the drive If you re-engaged drive then switched it on it would not go. It caused some head scratching and had to have some silicon spray round it to re-engage it.
That's what I'm saying, the buggy we had wouldn't start because of that. I had to strip it and put it back together but it still would not go if you re-engaged it with the key in the off position then switched it on, the key had to be in the on position when you engaged the drive lever or the motor still would not start.
Junk the electrics and fit this
