No worries. It's still at home so measured with a tape and without my glasses but should give you a good idea. I could measure itmore accurately but am away tomorrow so would be next week.

Bottom blade: 100 x 33 x 7mm
Top blade: 125 x 23 x 8mm. 3 screws 40mm apart and front screw is 17.5mm from the front.

My blades measure up exactly the same apart from the top hole pitches may differ.
When you say 40mm apart are you talking centre to centre, inside to inside or outside to outside. Mine are 40mm from the very longest pitch.

Well what a complete difference.
Went on frost website
Took two minutes to register.
A further two minutes to order.
PayPal payment and done.
2-3 days shipping @ £3.95
Blades were £40 inc vat.
Total amount £43.95.
Baileigh can shove there blades up there ........................
I will be keeping the shear now I know that I can obtain the blades easily but I won't be putting another penny baileighs way and I'll be advising others to be careful with them too.

Sorry Richard, I feel a bit guilty as I pretty much recommended the baleigh kit. What a bunch of bar stewards they are!
Comes down to, like so many other firms these days, they are little more than box shifters!

Your recommendation was from your experience with them and you were dead right. the product is spot on. Every thing was fine until I went back for spares lol. Not your fault in the slightest.

No that's right you will have them for life. I worked with a guy in Norway who had that set and I was borrowing every size while in his company. In my honest humble opinion they would be the only other set I'd consider today other than snap on. Theve got the length, feel and bite of a snap on spanner at a 1/3 of the cost. Well done mate nice little purchase.

The other thing you'll notice (or I did ) is the box end on those Kennedy pros is lovely and wide across the width yet lovely and thin around the circumference. Very rare you see that nowadays and it's a sign of good quality and thought gone into the fact you need to get it in and have the strength to take a riving.
alot of so called good spanners nowadays are the opposite. They are thick around the circumference and narrow accross the box width. Result is a weak spanner that you can't actually get in. kennedy pros all the way. Best spanners on the market today imo if you factor cost into things.

have u seen the price io bought the full set from bootsale cheap then realised 2 were missing a 22mm and a 24 mm cant remember the price but I think the pair of them cost me about 24 quid I only paid 30 for the nearly full set . still 40 quid cheaper than a new full set though

I thought they were bearable money for the quality. Was looking at king dicks, facom, geodore etc and they were a lot more money. All looked at bit skinny too, I do hate a skinny spanner.

Have you considered an email the Baileigh's CEO [or Director/Secretary] - I realise you've ordered the Frost replacements, but he deserves to learn about the unhelpful attitude of his Staff members. Mark it "Private & Confidential" in case one of the oiks with whom you dealt opens it, then immediately deletes it.......

Oh well you never know till you try so the search continues.
@Burdekin if you want a spare set for your shelf as they fit yours I'll do em posted for £25 and cut my losses
I ground a slight bevel to the front where the clamp touches as it doesn't contact too well but this will not effect the way it sits on yours as the original clamp face is still there
They are new out the box if you want them.

Shouldn't be that hard around the threaded hole. Loctite a bit of thread in the hole and re-drill

Incredibly hard mate. The whole thing is nearly 60hrc. Tried an A777 briefly and it didn't even scratch it. Carbide bits would be the only way to stand a chance. It's a fraction out on 2 hole pitches if i opened them all up by 1mm it would probably clear .

Sorry mate. I should of read your post properly. Yes the tool itself probably isn't that hard and would easily drill. Not sure I'm up for that though till I've exploited all none permanent options. Good idea though.
