So this is a electronic magnet gate post. Made of 316L . 316L is not magnetic . There will be a piece of steel inside the two posts or something to do with the electronic magnet as the posts are smooth. You can see the post have been separated by either welding or fixing the base plate or both. How would you do this job so that the gap don't show????

I do find my self looking at fabrication sometimes and wondering why it was left like that, one particular installation that drives me nuts are the access gates into Downing street believe it or not! they were redone and when you go through and look at gates system they do not meet up parallel its pretty poor job and i cringe every time. You would think if your a fabrication firm and win a tender to install a entry system at such a location you would do a damn fine job of it to promote yourself even if they are paying the lowest bidder.
