This my old thing.
See the black switch on the panel. That’s the switch I fitted on the feed to the pump. So I have the control to dry or wet cut.
The suds feed tube on the top bow I’ve butchered an old flow meter and used the valve as a means of flow control.

New blade landed, fitted, adjusted. Cuts loads better.

I have to say, the first 2-3 cuts were not good. Cutting some 2x1" Box section width ways, it veered off about 2-3mm end to end, far from square. after putting some serious tension on the blade it cuts nice and square, Satisfactory considering the saw anyway.

I just worried anymore tension will break something!

You shouldn’t need serious tension on the blade Giz. It should be tight enough to stay on and not slip but it doesn’t want riving up FT. If it’s running off on the vertical look at your pinch rollers and rocker arms to true it up. Your pinch rollers will be eccentric on one side. They might just need a little turn

Loving this bandsaw. cutting up some SCH10 Tubing earlier. Roughly 90 seconds to cut through it, thats just me being a bit gentle until i get a cooling system sorted. Saying that, the material doesnt seem to get hot, blade is cold to the touch directly after the cut has finished.

However, i was cutting some 75mm x 30mm Ally block earlier. taking an absolute age to cut through it, after 5 minutes i remembered about the blade speeds, change speed over to the recommended one for ally and it cut alot quicker.

But i did notice, on the slower speed, it had started to cut un-true, with the quicker speed it pulled it back square. Was only for a purge block, so it wasnt vital the end was square.

Those mandrel bends were not cut on your saw were they?

Ah I see. You’ve bought them pre bent and just cut them down.

Yes, Purchase 90's and cut them down. previously done by hand with an angle grinder. the bandsaw is a god send. Cuts night a square, quick 2-3 seconds on my little linisher and the face is cleaned up.

Tips for cutting thin wall tubing? Im finding that im having to clamp the material down to such a point it deforms the tubing?

Your squashing it in the vice? Can you not sleave it with something that fits snugly inside

What’s the tube(s) ID

Use four of the correct size pressed steel sections from exhaust clamps tacked to a pair of plates to clamp the tube in the vice. Cheap enough and readily available, a couple of bolts through the plates into the jaws would make setting up easier.

Tube id i mostly work with is 3". Ill give that clamp idea above ago

Yes that’s a neat trick idea of Wallace’s. A mounting plate For the vice jaws specifically for tube. I’d of just spun up a short length of 3” thick wall pipe in the lathe to a nice sliding fit and bunged it up the tube where the jaws grab. I like Wallace’s idea better mind.
