Well I wouldn’t have been so annoyed if it was the first time.
Twice he’s been locked in two different toilets in the house and I’ve had to cut through the mortice bolts because instead of calling me straight away, they start spraying WD40 everywhere and forcing things.
He broke the patio door and bought the wrong lock mechanism which they wouldn’t take back because it was a special order and I had to modify to get it to fit and work. I’ve just repaired his back gate lock for him after he broke it. He’s got history and it goes back a long way. Hee’s the same bloke who cut through his hedge trimmer wire, brought it round to get it fixed and did it again straight away.he cuts rock with his lawn mower once I’ve carefully serviced it and sharpened the blade. Even his cat wants to move in with me.

Sounds like my wife. She was struggling to shut the back door (upvc) so ended up ramming the handle up and breaking something in the gearbox.
Luckily a quick call to the guy who installed it, and twenty minutes later I had a new one to replace it.
A quick adjustment of the hinges and no more having to ram the handle up to shut the door.
all my fault apparently though

at work ive all ready said any problems let me know as soon as you find them id rather be called to a non fault and walk away than get to a job 2 months later that cant be fixed as its been to long
and it worked get called to a water spash on a floor turns out its just a droped glass of water but it also works the other way
cleaner said theres a puddle of water under the urinal turns out its part blocked so water does not get away as fast as it shoud i got to it before it casused a real problem

Truly your neighbour seems beyond merely clumsy. Does he have 'anger management issues'?
It's hard to think of an elegant way of backing away from him as you have rescued him from his folly so many times.

Should of watched a few vids from our Gaz here..but then he might of wondered how building a wood stove could fix his door

We had a couple of new upvc doors fitted a few weeks ago and my wife was locking the back door. She showed me that the lock was moving when she turned the key so I had a look and the screw that holds the lock was missing. I called the fitters and told them and they said it can't be missing it's about two inches long. I told him the lock is on the kitchen worktop and the screw is definitely not there so they sent someone out with one. It must have been omitted at the assembly stage. To actually remove the lock you need to turn the key to about 30° from vertical to disengage a lug that stops it pulling out.

My youngest son (in his thirties now) always gets frustrated when I look at something and work out what is wrong right away. He has come to terms with it though as he is "into" online fraud (works for a High Street Bank) and he has difficulty explaining to the kids in his team how he just knows the transaction is a scam.
We all have our versions of second sight I think and that is what I find interesting.

Sounds like you need to keep away from this one.
Some people never learn until they are made to pay real money for their stupidity. Anyone can ask around or search the internet for a simple job like that, if he had any sense he'd have stopped after the first five minutes to see where he was going wrong
I help out my neighbours with all sorts of things and most of them help me back.
I fixed a damaged cable for one that's a human rights lawyer, I didn't need any legal help but he's an ex navvy so can dig a bloody good hole when needed

I can look at a complex cylinder cupboard or a plant room and in minutes identify every pipe and understand how it works
Takes far longer explaining the slightly unusual ones to engineering. Same as the difference between hydronic and hydraulic seperation, that took a while
