Anyone used generic reticulated PU foam to tackle fuel slosh?

I think that's going to do the square root of naff all, the damping from foam is an order of magnitude higher due to the tiny cell size.

It's the same technique used in commercial tankers, and seems to be common enough on the 4x4 forums. It could work.

Does the fuel pick up go to the base of the tank and towards the rear ? does the return line drop too the base of the tank and point towards one of the front corners ? this will help with fuel surge and pressurising, i'd look at how the fuel tank is venting too

Ah, no, the pickup goes sideways, I hadn't though of that. But in 4x4 trials the slosh is from the car is tilting in all directions. The breather is an interesting US regulation system called FATS Fuel Air Trap System: the breather wraps around the entire tank so that no matter what way up the car is, part of the breather is always at highest point and won't let fuel out.

This is what I've done. Fuel proof plastic HDPE pipe, fits perfectly. TBH I suspect this is going to be too effective and I'll need to drill the tubes.
