Anyone in the UK used engine block fillers?

So I have a need to deep drill a block, down into the main bearing deck to fit long head studs. The problem being that there is no way to guarantee the "drill" will not wander, since that deck is as cast and not flat. And then I saw a Facebook post about block filling v8 American engines. I thought, actually, this would help stabilize my A series block, and as well help guide the "drill".
Anyone done it, have any experience? The application will be a hillclimb engine.

Mill the '.. as cast and not flat . . .' bit flat to ensure a good start for the dril.

Well up to now that was the best idea- albeit the surface is approx 4 inches below the top surface, void in between, so it would need some tool or other made.
I've done some goggling, Rokblock is the stuff, so far as I can make out not available in the UK.

A gundrill might be a good tool to use.
After you mill the flat surface as mentioned above.
