As I said to the 19 year old trainee today, have you seen the Star Wars films ? Use the 'force'.

Ive not done it for years , had a play at my beloved grandads years ago and it tracked the sewage pipe up the drive. You just have to not think about it too much

have you tried the bent welding rods or anyone that does it works for me

I have done this, but the pipes were metal.
Finding the pipes with devining rods/bent welding rods.
Digging holes, cutting and removing a section of pipe, jetting/cleaning a set length, repairing the cut pipe, and do it again from the set length.
It did work.

A guy I worked with on BT used devining on surveys to find ducts & cables, he was really good at it, he would find things that we couldn’t find with a cat & jenny. If you watched him, it looked like he walked into a brick wall, I was never quite sure if it was the rods that moved & affected him, or he moved & it affected the rods. I tried to do it many occasions but could get no reaction at all, I wasn’t receptive to it.

Yep, water divining, to no avail.

Yeah, admittedly I used to be a hippy, but then I got a job.

I'm not knocking anyones beliefs, but I'm sadly an empirically based science believer.

But equally I believe there's probably still a heap of stuff we haven't even scratched the surface of understanding, I'm not rubbishing anyones beliefs of ideas, oh no.

If people want to believes in deitys, aliens, flat earth or political doctrines, rock on.

Each to their own, I have good mates who have crazy beliefs, whatever.

I'm just expressing my beliefs, not contradicting anyone elses.

As far as I know science says there is no basis for it, but I can assure you, if you are sensitive to it, it works. tried to get the guy I worked with to do a bit of investigation, looking at ley lines & such, but all I got was “not interested”

In 1997 I found the incoming water supply to my old gate keepers house using a pair of L shaped 2.5 mm brazing rods ,. The water board couldn't find it , it was a good four feet below the road surface & nowhere you'd have thought of it being . Seems it was a new unsheathed copper pipe domestic supply put in , in 1961 ....tapped off an 1864 ..... 4 inch cast iron mains with the stopcock 8 or so feet inside my property away from the main .
I put in a standard 300 mm inspection tube & cast concrete cover over the stop once I'd gently eased it open & closed a dozen or more times .

You have nothing to lose so try it , you can still straighten out the bent wires if you fail . I used the full 2 foot long brazing rods bent in the vice to give equal 9 inch tails .
My farmer friend Barry was amazed .. he couldn't find anything , till I got him to cross over a connected up filled hose pipe . . Got him to do that half a dozen times then sent him to find where I'd decided the incoming water was to the Keepers Cottage. He got it first try . He watched as I dug down the four feet & found the water pipe & stop cock .
I don't know how it worked ...it wasn't an educated guess on my part as far as I know
