just build a quick build extension on the side of it keeping your door as a secondary door that means you only need a hole at one side of it going back into the garage so the heat is only warming the garage air within
the rear of it can be steel roof profile it makes no difference as you cant see it its the front and side you will have to do something with it
my advice fit a door onto the front of it as goes for the side you choose what you want to use as your viewing the side of it
remember the build can be cheap as long as its fire proof and metal is a good fire proof material
