Anybody use Autodoc? 35% cyber Monday

Actually, no, but I have had problems in the past where they sent the wrong item and then refused to send the correct one till I sent the wrong one back at my expense. I showed them the error on their web site but they denied liability saying I should have asked them to check my order with my vin.

It was only a cheap item and the post would have been more than the cost of the item.

After that I vowed not to use them again but their prices are sometimes 30% cheaper than UK suppliers so I relented.

I just received this order for a timing belt and water pump. I got them to check it and they still got the part wrong. They recommended the water pump without the electrical connector and actuator. It was only when I had a closer look at my engine when I found it did have the electrical version. Luckily I was able to get the order changed before it shipped.

Returning can be a nightmare from what I have seen, as mentioned before always give them your vin number, as I have found most of the stuff that says fits does not.

This lot showed up a couple of days ago.
Took about a week so not bad really.
£88 for a pair of 318mm front discs and pads!

As an update the discs are pads are now fitted and work fine.
On the downside I've just found out Autodoc had a security breech at the end of last year and customer details were leaked.
I've just had my bank account cleared out / hacked.
Coincidence? I don't know but I've closed the account now.

Has anyone used Autodoc before? I'm just wondering if they're a trustworthy company. They have what I need for my Surf and the prices are very good compared to Roughtrax for instance. Febest trailing links are half the cost!

Yes... a lot. Usually far far cheaper than anything I can find in the UK and they stock allegedly good brands (LPR, Febi, Lemforder, Meyle etc). Don't be afraid of the £130 import limit post brexit, car parts appear exempt and autodoc pay the VAT for you so it shows up no worries, even for orders totalling hundreds.
Be sure it is the correct part though. Cross reference with the OEM number, get the OEM number from your main dealer if necessary, check measurments etc. Their "safe order" option only allows free return of one item and they charge a lot to properly check the parts for your vehicle, I think it's a subscription service! Prices are usually cheapest first thing Monday morning.
