Anybody use Autodoc? 35% cyber Monday

Has anyone used Autodoc before? I'm just wondering if they're a trustworthy company. They have what I need for my Surf and the prices are very good compared to Roughtrax for instance. Febest trailing links are half the cost!

I struggle with Autodoc - everything is shipped from Germany - plus we have had the wrong parts arrive here more than once.

So not good feedback for Autodoc. Negative Feedback!

I can’t comment on Autodoc, but Milner Offroad have always been very good when I need bits for my L200, and they do stuff for the Surf too.
Maybe an alternative for you?

I've had a look a few times over the years but Milners don't list the manufacturer of the parts they sell, I like to know what I'm buying as I've had some right crapp (not from Milners) over the years.
They are far cheaper than Roughtrax though!

No idea who makes the parts. Probably the Shanghai Noodle Welding Corporation! In the 12 years I've had the Mistsubishi, I've never broken anything they've supplied, so I would think they use premium quality noodles!

to be fair to them, have had most of my car / van parts from them over the last year and a half or so and they've been ok. Agreed, they're not the best quality, but not the worst either, I'm not sure there's a lot of difference in the lower cost spares anyway. They usually propose a few supplier options, or at least they gave a different logo on the box, but are they coming out of the same factory?... but they've not been critical parts in my case so wasn't too concerned.... Pricewise - seems to be cheapest of the online ones I've found, as usual pays yer money takes yer chance...
Down side, as @premmington they've screwed up the delivery twice sending the wrong parts, so maybe a regular occurance, but they did sort it out quick enough, just inconvenient for the lost time....

just trying them for the first time...tip if you put some items in your basket ,after 2 days they email a free postage coupon OR sign up for newsletter and they send £5 off coupon , cant use both

I’ve been buying from them since you got a photocopied price list pamphlet with your order and never had an issue or needed to send anything back. I always ring them and order over the phone though.

Dont do it , they make it difficult when they have sent wrong parts , you waste more time returning than anymonies you might save .

I have family in Europe and they rate AutoDoc highly. Their main warehouse is in Germany. Often they offer parts from several manufacturers - the advice I got was to pick parts from one of the mid-priced manufacturers they list.
I've not tried getting parts into UK since the rules changed 3 years ago so can't comment on how well the customs process / returning failed parts works.

Edit 1 prices are ex vat, they add that at checkout time so they’re cheap but not as cheap as you might think.

Edit 2 they are showing 45% cyber Monday discount - great but they have regular promotion days when 30% off isn’t unusual. No need to panic buy today - but no reason no to

I've had three orders from them for run of the mill bits like fluids, brake and clutch components. Everything correct, shipped quickly and a fraction of the price of everyone else. They don't add a surcharge for shipping to remote postcodes so are very popular here where we don't have cheap parts suppliers like GSF to pop down to.

I've used them and delivery can be slow (certainly to up here, can't say for 'darn sarf'). Their website gives the impression that they're UK based, but as said they're in Germany.

Have had to return a couple of things and although the process can be a bit protracted they come through in the end.

note they seem to add £3.99 hassle free return charge automatically , might be worth doing on a large order or even order one of each brand to compare at home then return the ones you dont like ?

I ordered a few items from Autodoc before. I like their website listing the part numbers and OEM part numbers for parts.
Over my few orders, the delivery has been fast and delivery has been very slow.

I will use them again if I don't need the parts urgently.

I've used them a lot and have had great service and price till they sent the wrong item, customer service was terrible. I won't use again as they refuse to pay for the shipping of the item back to Germany.

well heres an update

made an order this morning choosing brands and prices accordingly ....happend to go and look on the order status and theyve changed the oil filters to own brand

got them on the chatter and they said it was so they can send it out asap , i said i wanted the brands i asked for and they changed it back, so bit snidey if you ask me , if you do use them check the order straight after paying before they send it

Mmm they do seem a bit hit and miss! I certainly can't be bothered returning stuff to Zee Germans if their Tueutonic efficiency goes wrong.

aye for filters, I stick to Mann, local shop here has good stock and rapid supply for ordered in. The mann ones have proven themselves to me over the years, so I'll stick with them, and for a few quid, I'd prefer to know what I'm dealing with, so I won't get them from anywhere else..

I have used them before but only as a last resort, as other have said swapping brands/sending faulty stuff/hassle of returns is the common theme

if you google stark autoparts , seems its their brand , no mention of where its made , they seem to overprice thier stuff then when you order say a bosch part they suggest its because of stock and you can get your order faster , but dont worry its a more expensive part but no need to pay ....im guessing its the cheapest dregs and a sneaky way of grabbing a couple of quid

they did sort it quickly on the chatter , but bit crafty if i hadnt caught it...certainly wouldnt order no name oil filters elsewhere
