I've off on my holidays Sunday but when I get back I have a week and a half off to tidy this lot up.
So the felt will be coming off to leave the t+g boards which I'll be going over with osb and then 2 layers of fibreglass. As you can see it's currently a right mess.
The company I'll be using are cys fibreglass in/ on canvey island as my dad used them when he did a small flat roof of his. He'll be helping me but he's due a hip so need to try not to kill him. I'm confident we can make a nice job, he's built boats and I'm jack of all trades to some degree.
The problem is the neighbour isn't doing his so I need to fix a batten down the centre and get a felter to do an upstand. My roof will lap over the timber using a preformed profile and over the top of the upstand.
I'll be installing new barge boards using upvc cover board. I'll fix some new battens to nail this onto as what's currently there is rotten.
Shall I buy a roll of lead or buy simulated lead flashings?
I'm not sure how to do the cladding. I know you can buy pvc cladding and the u profiles for the ends but how do you slot it in? I may as well cover the breeze blocks at the same time.
The ac unit needs to go up on a bracket without losing the gas. That will be a £300 mistake.
Any advice on the tricky areas or anything I've asked will be greatly appreciated. Cheers
