It's like a laser because it IS a laser, an almost pinpoint beam at 400 yards with very, very little bleed. Fits in the palm of your hand too.

The problem with that and any phone-based system is the reflected light from the screen will give your presence away... NVG's do have some bleed but nothing like a 4-5" phone screen.

I agree, anything* with a screen has some bleed. But value for money those phone things are superb. Ive a pulsar one, cost far far more, its very good, but they go out of date so quickly. Even the lamps are progressing quickly.

I've a FLIR, only used for boring work related stuff though. If someone asked me if I had a 2009 vintage NV monocular & Cadex mount, I couldn't possibly comment....

I have accolades and the screen brightness is turned right down, same on my pards. If I left the Pard on whilst walking about I would have a square of light hitting my feet and the ground.

wouldnt fancy carrying that thing round and as well as your gun on a night going over 5 miles across muddy fields and as windy as hell . it would frighten the rabbits off a mile away we use a red filter to get near them then flip the lenze off giving the white light and either shoot them or slip the dog and the lamp lights up suficient for the dog to run them its a million candle power and half that size using a waste pack battery on a belt

A bit disingenuous to promote something you sell over the 'silly' competition as overpriced when it's actually cheaper.... The FLIR One thermal sensor, in the Amazon link above, is 80x80 pixels. The HK Explorer IR sensor resolution is 256x192 pixels, which is a huge improvement over the FLIR One.

It will make not a jot of difference to me whether or not I sell one of these or not and I have never made a secret of the fact I sell Night Vision, Scopes, Torches and almost everything else to do with shooting (including guns) so I wasn't being disingenuous at all.

My point about the Flir is this: It is Carp, really bad in comparison and for what it is at the price it is is not value for money. (I speak from the point of having actually owned one myself). I was glad to see the back of it and I couldn't possibly recommend one as they are not good value. This is colour should you so wish, I just had it turned to Black and White which i find better for me. You can have any scheme you want. This has a much better processor, is better built and actually does what the Flir says it will do, but doesn't at a much higher resolution.

Do what you want - I'm not in the market for one, As I said, I felt it was 'off' to say "these are great, the others are carp" then a few posts later say 'oh, if you want to buy one of these "better than anything else IMO", I can offer you a discount'. I do find it odd that our opinions of the same thing differ so wildly, but I'm not in the position of having owned both or retailing either.

I wasn't aware of your retailing - as I'm sure neither were others, after all, who actually reads everything on here? A simple 'I sell these' precursor to any comment would give the reader an indication of a possible commercial interest or bias. I'm sure you think the ones you sell are the bees knees, doesn't mean you have primacy of opinion (nor does anyone else), especially on a medium where anyone can be or say pretty much what they want.
