To be fair he refuses to do an "it'll do job" and rightly so. If you wanted a quick blow over you wouldn't go to him, just in the same way if you wanted your pride and joy painting you wouldn't go to the dodgy backstreet spray shop. I don't posses a vehicle that I wouldn't paint with anything other than a radiator roller, but if I was restoring a motor he'd be the first place I'd go for paint

I don't mind as long as the colour looks something like 
My mate takes the Mick out of my painting but he was happy enough for me to paint his bike tank when the paint shop estimated £400 to do it. I had an aerosol mixed to do the Berlingo bumper corner when I dragged it on the dashing of the house. A bit of filling and masking, some primer then paint and lacquer and it's nowt a blind man on a galloping hoss would notice. 
Materials probably cost £20 tops. £90 for paint is steep even if they had to have it matched and had 1/2 litre done for it.
