to me stopper was only for minor imperfections, ie pinholes ,stone chips and smaller.very little needed.

Stopper is for localised small blemishes, high build is for much shallower but larger area blemishes e.g feathering. It sounds like stopper is being used in place of filler.
Ýes i finally rememberedi it says 01 08 2018 but is that a production date. A sell by date. Or a use by date? Lol
I think we have solved the filler issue but will update later. We seem to have dips/small puddles in the primer randomly now. I think it might be heat...but again will update later.

The amount of times he has taken a wing off used old filler and primer had had laying about for years and had no problem.
You go out and buy brand new stuff to try and do a resonable job and it jus5 keeps being 0ne problem afte4 another.

That is a solvent reaction. First of all the paint application is a bit heavy and it looks like the solvents have not flashed off from the primer, or the primer is incompatible.

yeah heavy coats of base coat have so much thinners in its like leaving a thinners rag on it , its attacked the primer
The prime4 has been on for 4 days....but we might have found the issue that is causing all the problems as its related to softening it appears.
It seems like the primer ration was written wrong. Its been mixed at 4 to 1 primer /thinners. With 10 to 15% hardner.

Yes after double checking on the website. It is as you say but the way it looked written by hand on the lid confused him.
As i say we have had high build primer in the garage and its never reacted.
But it seems like the primer was never able to get hard enough to resist sanding and then the solvent in the 50/50 base coat and thinners.

Fish eye due to silicon contamination. Could be dirt inclusion, but the tend to encapsulate the rubbish. Rip it all back to bare metal and start again, sorry.

So i have said if he wants the car (to get to work so he can pay for it) he will have to suffer until we get more time, my head has not been used as a punch bag and i finally manage to get some Barcoat (which is impossible to get on a Saturday afternoon or a Sunday.)
All the heat is going flat out so i will get some colour on in an hour or so.
They are being fitted however they turn out...lol

Filler dust can cause issues. I would just leave it alone now, until time allows it to be re-done. It will be OK rust wise as is.

why are you using barcoat ?
its gone wrong because the primer wasnt used properly , hiding under barcoat will just make it worse in the long run

Sand it back to bare metal,
Wipe it with thinners,
Leave it over night
Only use filler where it’s necessary to hide the repairs
High build primer x2 coats leave for a few hours in heat or over night,
Very gently sand it, use a block not your fingers
Then top coat laquer etc

No mate...its weird because he has tried hard to get a good result. He has had better results with a spray can.
I have just said "blow it" i am just getting paint on it and apart from.areas i just did not have time to prep to a good enough standard paint has gone on well.
Does heat replace hardener in effect.
The main issue i had tonight was black bits on the wing and a poxy moth. But they only came when i put laquer on. So they should polish out. Not that i will bother.
It will come off again in a couple of months.
