Straight up, joined up for the number of threads on Harrison Mills here and been encouraged to post my own thread.
So, way way back in the pre-Covid era I wanted to do some milling. I'd tried it on the lathe with a vertical slide, it was less than optimal and *then* I cracked my vertical slide.
So, after a few chats with AtP over suggestions on milling machines, a careful consideration of the available space and discussion over his conversion I kind of decided to get myself a proper milling machine and probably a Harrison.
A short while later I was while watching the price of a milling machine that someone _needed_ to get rid of because he had to move out of a unit fall and fall. It wasn't perfect as it didn't have the vertical head (which are rocking horse poo) so I gave a low ball offer on it. Which was accepted.
So this was what I bought (pictures taken from the advert).
