what evidence do you have for this? from what i can see the machine is welding but there is little to no gas flow, which to me and most others here says that either the bottle has run empty, there is a blckage somewhere in the system or there is an air leak that is dragging atmospheric air into the argon and diluting it

You sure they are not checked? That's not what I was told.!Is your machine new? If so its almost certainly a problem with the set, as none of the R-Tech sets are checked before despatch, and seems like DOA or failure within a few days is pretty common.
Has it worked fine until you added a regulator or changed something?Looks like what you are saying is the problem Chris.Yes the machine l bought it new l have it for a some time now. And now l got a regulator with a flow meter. Thing is that the melting on the first day was perfect it was doing it properly and the next day it was not melting it was even burning the tungsten. Have to give R-tech call then.?
It is a fact electronic based equipment has a high early failure rate....tested or not.....but I was told by R-tech that they rework the machines replacing some parts to their own spec.i was trawling through google looking for reports of dead machines and can't find any.... my 161 is great as is my r-tech plasma cutter and stick inverter. definitely a lack of gas, perhaps a sticky solenoid or as BB says a leak somewhere or air being drawn in....
Give it a rest Chris, nearly every post you are either condemning Chinese built machines or Rtech in particular. You seem to not understand that a proportion of the users on here are using Chinese or Rtech machines quite happily.
Obsession? You've just read through near on 140 posts looking for a word.Just did a quick search and out of your 138 posts 26 contain the word Chinese!
It becoming an obsession.

Ok fair enough. I'm not really down with the computers tbh. I did wonder how you went through 3000 so quick. It took less than 10 seconds:

Computers are quite clever you know!

I agree with both parties. Chris your mls is full of Chinese components as is mine. But If my unit broke down tomorrow and I had 1000 to spend I wouldn't buy an RTech. Lots of happy users yes but there aftercare service is far far better than the product. I would however but a thermal arc 202 or parweld 202 also chinese built machines (no problem with that) 3 good reasons why. 1 they are cheaper than RTech, 2 less failure story's as I look through the net, 3 supplied with quality end tackle (SSC pedals, tweco torches, victor regs.)
Before this thread gets completely cutt off from changing topic I would strongly suggest the op gets some new filler, a pea shooter, and keep his filler, material in a warm environment. My Alu rods live in the back of the airing cuboard.
they do once they've had the option! like others I run a thermal arc 202, lovely machine and certainly more than capable for what I put it through, however for industry id much sooner have my old esab backWonder if beginners fully appreciate that things like quality torches, pedals, and regs, matter more than clever advertising? If I was in the market for budget machine, then would also certainly consider Parweld and Thermal Arc.
You haven't missed it. It's not there. There are only dedicated brand sections open for brands that are talked about a lot.Beginners come here to look before splashing their hard earned! I did a few years ago before I bought my Thermal arc. Wish Id known more about torch size etc back then.
Odd there isnt a brand section for thermal arc machines or have i missed it!
