Aluminium tube sizes.

Trying to locate some aluminium tube that I can end up with an 80mm bore dead size and 90mm of (approx).

Does any tube of this size exist?

In general, when searching for round stuff with a hole in the middle, 'tube' is specified by OD and 'pipe' is specified by ID (nominal bore).

So you need to look for 90mm tube with minimum 10mm wall thickness or 80mm pipe (again with 10mm wall thickness).

3 1/2" (88.9mm) OD x 1/4" wall is available. That would give 3" or 76.2mm bore, so would need boring out to get the 80mm you need leaving just under 4.5mm wall.

Now that sounds good. Not sure if my local supplier has that size in. But I will ring and ask.

Although I found a supplier in West Bromwich when we needed some boost pipes made on my son's car.

Yeah that's the supplier I meant. I used them when Droitwich Aluminium had not got what I needed.

Are you needing a lot of it? I may have some small bits left off a job but won't be a massive amount.
I used it for the davit arm on this boat and I am fairly certain it was 3.5" x 1/4" wall.

No not a lot. Approx 12 inch lengths .
It's a tube that is part of a hydraulic unit but keeps loosing pressure.
Measuring it seems to be slightly oval but not enough to loose pressure.
Will measure it Tommorow and take photo. (Wife's birthday so it might be Monday). Lol
