Aldi titanium drill range

Bought the drill and impact driver kit from Aldi..very impressed with the quality and 3 year warranty and came with charger and 2x2ah battery's...does anyone know what other batts fit this range as i would like to find a 3 or 4ah as extra,s

Ahh that's right machine mart do the Einhell range which includes the 5AH battery's plus Einhell have a main office/outlet in the next town to me, cheers mate

Wish we had a standard tool battery across all brands. Be in everyone's interests. Wouldn't be restricted to just one manufacturers tools.

If only there was an inter-governmental body that could mandate such a thing for a single market place.
Oh, wait.

Mind you, if the power tool companies could wangle it, they'd have every mains drill needing a different voltage and frequency and you'd have to subscribe to the DeWalt or Makita power supply and install their meter.

You can get adapters off the bay so you can use Milwaukee batteries on Dewalt, and other adapters do other combinations including Makita. Not perfect but better than nowt. Seem to cost from about 12 to 25 quid.

3D printed battery adapter is the way to go. First you need to model the adapter in CAD unless you can download one someone has already done. Keep thinking about it so I can get more use out of the "no name" 18V cordless jigsaw, circular, grinder, hedge trimmer etc I've bought on a whim over the years that all have very similar but not quite the same battery. Then I could use my Makita 18V Li-ion batteries.

As an aside I think there WAS some battery compatibility once between Aldi & Einhell stuff. Plenty of examples of 3D printed adaptors on thingiverse:
