A Bloody Virgin Mary?I been buying tomato juice and having it with Lee & Perins, Tobasco. celery salt and splash of lime juice.
I've had to give up booze as my liver function was not great. Having tried a lot of low alcohol beers I can recommend Adams Ghost ship 0.5%, it's also pretty cheap from Asda and Tesco's.I suppose this could be considered sacrilege in 'The Brew Room', but here goes.
I like a drink. A nice Cider. Decent beer or lager. Particularly partial to a nice red wine. But if I'm honest - I was probably drinking a little too much, without having x (Whatever the latest guidance is) nights off of it in a week. This and various other reasons made me decide to cut back a bit (Not completely, but that's not the point).
The oint is, without alcoholic beverages, I'm left with squash, fruit juices, water, coke (The fizzy stuff not the snorty stuff) or low/no alcohol options in the evening.
I've tried Thatcher zero cider - very good really once you get over the slightly meaty tatse.
I saw @slim_boy_fat recommend a low/no alcohol dark beer - and it got me thinking - can any of you recommend any decent tasting low or alcohol free alternatives? Particularly Red Wine - as that's the one I can't see the suppliers have got right just yet.
Actually not true for all of them, I'm trying to reduce my sugar intake as well as Alcohol and some are very low sugar.I drink beer, or Tesco blackcurrant squash. Several pints a day of both.
Any fake beer is probably loaded full of sugar, so if it's got no alcohol in I'm not ingesting the sugar without the buzz. That's just plain unhealthy.![]()
As with all food check the nutrition label.....
I remember from my Guinness drinking days as a youth that the cans were not a patch on the draft stuff. Has that disparity improved now and is 0% also available on draft?
I'd like to find a low sugar beer, with normal alcohol content. I've heard they tend to be stronger because they sugar has been turned into alcohol, but trying to find which ones, and where to get them, isn't so simple.Actually not true for all of them, I'm trying to reduce my sugar intake as well as Alcohol and some are very low sugar.

I went to Dublin a little while ago, never touched Guinness before, but spent 4 days consuming almost nothing but, and now it's my most drank drink.Guinness doesn't travel well - it tastes much better in Ireland....![]()
I can't imagine it's any good from a can
