Mine gets delivered by the nice people from Waitrose, somehow it keeps slipping into the shopping order.

No Waitrose up here, but I've just checked and Asda (my nice people) now have it on their website, last time I looked online or in store they didn't stock the 0℅ one. Next order it is then.

Watch out for the sugar/sugar free additives!

I find water genuinely nice. Treat yourself to a decent water filter or bottled if needs must and refrigerate.

The Guinness tastes fine, pretty much just like the real thing, the only thing with it, I’m up & down to the loo every half an hour for half the night. I don’t know why, must be something in it, sweetener or something, there’s nothing on the label that give a clue as to what It is.

Count yourselves lucky that you are able to choose whatever beer, alcoholic or free that you want. After being diagnosed coeliac last year beer choice has plummeted, real ale even less and alcohol free is very niche! The only one I've found in mainstream supermarkets is Free Dam

(Other supermarkets are available ) luckily I used to drink/like it before my diagnosis and I also used to like the heineken alcohol free, cider wise Stowford press do a low/non alcoholic version which is OK.

If you want alcohol free dark beer try Leffe bruin 0.0. Think it's called Leffe brune in the UK.
I've been on alcohol free beer for over a year now and I like the above. It's also very nice to be able to jump behind the wheel after.
I still do drink the occasional glass of Scotch though.

Guniness Zero is pretty much like the full fat version, bonus is I do not need to pee all the time!
All the alcohol free lagers and ciders I have tried are pretty poor.

When I'm at the pub and driving its normally been coke or orngejuice and lemonade for me but recently tried some alcohol free pale ale which has been alright as was the san miguel I had last night. Beets the rubbish you used to get in the 90's.

I dabbled with 0% wines and concluded they taste better if you think of them as cordials or grape juice rather than hoping for a wine substitute (it's more like vimto substitute!). And, because everything tastes less bad when chilled, I found whites closer to real whites and that the reds are also better served chilled.

My default drink for long pub sessions though is lime and soda as you can drink it in pints without it being like syrup. Maybe coffee or ginger beer at the right pubs, but neither are sustainable all evening.

Becks blue isn't too bad, what I go for if I'm out and still want a 'pint'

My habit is dropping into the co op and grabbing a bottle of half decent cider (usually) to have with tea/sit on the sofa with. Rapidly approaching £3 a bottle these days, it's on a par with premium bottled soft drinks, such as Fentemans. I find they are a good alternative that is enjoyable, compared to a bottle/glass of Fanta zero or whatever.

If you don't want to drink alcohol, don't. Just drink tea, or decaff tea if after 6pm. If it is before 6pm drink coffee?

I have re-found a liking for Robinsons Orange Squash (with no added sugar) for much the same reasons.

Especially if warmed up during the winter.

I have not had an alcoholic drink since 1984. However all this alcohol free beer and wine etc, seems to me rather like vegetarian "sausages", and stuff shaped like bits of chicken. Its not meat, so why is it made to look like it ? Beer, wine, and spirits have alcohol in it, otherwise its a soft drink, so why call it something like Tennants Extra alcohol free ?

I like Asdas lemon and Lime squash. I find it quite thirst quenching, which any beer definitely isn't. And Tea.

Two reasons... One because people are reluctant to try something new, so by making it look familiar they hope to tempt the faddists across. The other is to pacify the macho types who think that it is an affront to their manhood to eat cruelty free and so it appears that they don't. Vegans and vegetarians rarely buy it because they don't want to be reminded of the cruelty and suffering that is animal farming.

Probably the machismo situation drives alcohol free drinks too. If it looks like beer, then it is apparently more 'manly' than asking for a soft drink.
