yea pricked a large can of wd 40 in back of van and eveything was sprayed with it it stunkI don't know why but aerosol cans that are in Van's are very prone to do this. I rarely ever empty one before this happens.
Not the worst of smells. I once had 20l of ep90 spill in mine. Could still smell it when I sold it. Must have been the only 10 year old transit with a good floor though.yea pricked a large can of wd 40 in back of van and eveything was sprayed with it it stunk
I would urge extreme caution trying to pressurise a can with compressed air. It is really springy and can compress a huge amount without ever going into liquid. If the can ruptures it will send shrapnel flying everywhere.
Tad exaggerated mate, they're not grenades
Before the WD refillable squirt bottles were around, used to "wring" the cans into twisted things to get the last drops out, I have strong hands and I am stingy

I've just bought this, see what it's like when it arrives...
Which is why I changed to a sticky foam gun and screw-on cans. Haven't had a failure yet and I can leave it screwed shut for months on end, knowing it will work next time. The expensive Instastik squirty sticky foam cans for foam guns are notorious for running out of propellant whilst half full. At £15/can that tee's me right off.
That is/was the the foam gun version "...for foam guns...". They had a lot of issues over about 18 months then it seemed to improve. I tried other products that didn't lose/run out of propellant but were just not as good.Which is why I changed to a sticky foam gun and screw-on cans. If anyone knows I'd like to find out. Would like to make some closed cell foam box inserts for tool cases - I think it should be ok to squirt some into a sealed bag so the tools fit nicely (battery drills, cameras, Dremels or just custom compartments.
I have seen people make tool box inserts like that, place tools in tool box, place bag on top of tools, partially fill bag with foam and place board over box to contain bag / foam.I can recall receiving items that have been protected by a layer of rigid foam injected into a plastic bag. The item is pushed onto the outside of the bag and a near perfect mould is produced. Where you buy the ingredients is another matter.
