Do you have the celing height to do this? remember the hoist hook will be above the machine and higher than the highest point of the machine as a result.
Its quite often problematic to use a engine hoist to assemble things like this in low (non industrial) celing buildings.

Yes, I think I have enough clear space above the hoist.

Another thing to remember is that you have a damn sight more strength in your legs than you do in your arms. A squatting position with arms and back dead straight will allow you to use your legs to full effect when hoiking it upright. Make sure you have someone on the other side of it if possible too, as once you get past the point where the weight of the machine itself starts to carry it forward, that can be far more awkward, (or amusing, if you're a spectator ), than the lifting itself. It will try to throw you over if you allow it to gain any notable momentum, so have someone there just to hold it and steady its pace, if possible, else just counter for the fact that it will happen if you're alone, by slowing your pace and arresting its movement, once you get to the point where you feel it becoming light.

OK thanks for that, I've ordered an Ebay 1 ton engine hoist and will get an endless sling, wrap that around under the iron bed and 4x 1m to attach to sling around corners.
Should be able to get it upright and lift onto the mobile base.

You'll find it a lot easier than your envisaging, once you start. Just remember to use your gumption and preempt your requirements. Plus, random lengths of wood make excellent temporary stays/props and blocks, so have a few to hand.
