Bought the father in law one of these last year and is chuffed to bits with it
don t have that option..Shaving?
I just get SWMBO with the clippers. No.2 on the head & No.1 on the face..
My Philishave is TRULY incredible. Dates from around 2000 - perhaps even late 90s. I use it EVERY day. The battery lasts a good 3 to 4 months! Probably nicad or at best nimh. When it runs down I do flip the head open and run it no load until every last drop of power has gone before charging. I repeat this power drain several times until it is totally flat. No memory. My dad had been using braun shavers for years.
He gets around years out of them before the batteries stop holding a charge. The cutters are usually blunt too so he just gets a new one.
Boots is usually cheapest and they have deals on regularly, often around xmas.
well worth knowing.thanksIf looking at Braun, I'd give consideration to one of the models made in Germany rather than China - I think that is the 7 series and up. The others will say designed and engineered in Germany.
I only this say because I'm a Panasonic fanboi, but only their made models made in Japan. When we were in Perth WA last summer I visited a few shaver stores and was shown the differences between two of the same model; one made in China and the other made in Japan - the difference in quality and flex of the head was astonishing.
Having read reviews of Braun shavers, as I'd like to try one, the same advice applies - pay extra for those made in Germany.
Hang on...I'll ask SWMBO what she uses...
